The United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) invites young people from around the world to participate in the OS26 Youth Video Competition 2026, an international competition designed to amplify youth perspectives in global space security discussions.
Inspired by the principles of the Outer Space Treaty, this competition encourages the next generation of engineers, scientists, and researchers to contribute innovative ideas for maintaining outer space as a secure, peaceful, and sustainable environment for all humankind.
Selected winners will be invited to attend the OS26 Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, where their videos will be showcased to an international audience and featured across UNIDIR platforms.
Participants are invited to create an original video addressing the following theme:
How can innovations in space systems and architecture contribute to a more secure and sustainable outer space environment?
UNIDIR encourages participants to showcase their original research and technical ideas that address current space security and sustainability challenges.
