Singapore Management University (SMU) Visiting Student Programme (VSP) Fall 2026

Dear ITS Students,

We are excited to announce that the Visiting Student Programme (VSP) at Singapore Management University (SMU) is now open for Fall 2026 (August –December 2026). This programme offers you the chance to study in Singapore, broaden your academic horizons, and gain valuable international exposure.

⚠️ Important: This is a fee-paying programme. Students will be responsible for all expenses, including tuition, accommodation, meals, travel, visa, insurance, and personal costs.

Programme Overview

• Type: Fee-paying, credit-bearing

• Students may responsible for all expenses

• Duration: 1 or 2 semesters (16 weeks each, including 1 recess week)

• Eligibility: Undergraduate students from any discipline

• Courses Offered: Business, Accountancy, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Computer Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies

• Course Load: 2–4 courses per semester (5 possible upon request)

Course Catalogue & Enrolment

• Students may refer to the Course Catalogue for past undergraduate offerings (Codes 001–499, 1200–4038).

• Not all listed courses are available to visiting students.

• Course enrolment is subject to:

  • Vacancies available

  • Fulfilment of prerequisites (if applicable)

  • Outcome of course bidding

• ⚠️ Important: Course enrolment is not guaranteed. Students should not apply in their final term at ITS, as graduation may be at risk if required courses cannot be secured.

Tuition & Fees

• Tuition Fee (per course, per term):

  • Accountancy, Business, Integrative Studies, Economics, Computing & IS, Social Sciences → S$4,770

  • Law → S$5,280

  • Fees include prevailing GST and may change.

• Miscellaneous Fee (mandatory, non-refundable):

  • S$280 (one term) / S$400 (one year)

  • Covers registration, matriculation, insurance, IT services, student activities

• Payment Schedule:

  1. Upon Letter of Acceptance: miscellaneous fee + S$5,000 deposit

  2. After course enrolment (week 3): remaining balance billed separately

• Note: Tuition fees exclude accommodation and meals. Students must arrange their own housing.

ITS Eligibility

• Level: D3 / S1, batch 2023 and 2024

• GPA: ≥ 3.00

• English Proficiency:

  • TOEFL PBT: 583 (min. 5.5 Writing, 50 Reading)

  • TOEFL iBT: 93 (min. 22 Reading, 22 Writing)

  • IELTS: 7.0 overall (min. 7.0 Reading, 6.5 Writing)

• GCW Certificate (min. grade C) or GCW Test Result (min. 80)

• For S2 applicants: R2SEP Certificate
