The ITS International Office invites all undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the 2025 Belt and Road International Student Competition on Digital Architectural Design, a prestigious global event that promotes architectural innovation and cross-cultural exchange. Now entering its sixth year, the competition is hosted by the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) and supported by international organizations including UNESCO, and the Eden Eco-Education and International Living Demonstration Zone, Tianjin, China.
This year’s theme invites students to develop eco-tourism design proposals that balance tradition and modernity, integrating urban and rural life in a harmonious way. Designs must focus on the Eden Zone, a large-scale eco-education project developed by China and the UK to promote sustainability and community innovation.
Open to both undergraduate and graduate students from any discipline
Teams may consist of up to 7 students and 3 supervisors
Interdisciplinary and international teams are encouraged
All submissions must be in English, and use digital design formats such as architectural modeling, visualization, or cultural revitalization concepts
