We are pleased to announce that the ASEAN-Japan Young Environmental Leaders Network (AJYELN) 2.0 is currently accepting applications. This program is a regional initiative aimed at empowering youth from ASEAN Member States and Japan to take action on pressing environmental issues, particularly plastic pollution. The AJYELN network brings together passionate young leaders who are committed to solving environmental challenges through community-based projects, leadership development, and collaboration.

Seed funding to support the implementation of your project
Leadership and project management training
Networking with like-minded youth across ASEAN and Japan
Guidance on effectively implementing environmental projects
Eligibility Criteria:
Youth aged 18-25 years
Team of 2-4 members
Citizens of ASEAN Member States or Japan
Proficiency in conversational English
Demonstrated interest or background in environmental and social engagement work
Key Dates:
Application Period: 1 April – 31 May 2025
Announcement of Shortlisted Applicants: 5 June 2025
Online Interviews: 10-20 June 2025
Final Selection Announcement: 30 June 2025
Program Duration: July 2025 – March 2026
