Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Student Exchange Program Fall Semester 2025 – AIMS Scholarship Available

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is now accepting applications for the Fall Semester 2025 Student Exchange Program (6 October 2025 – 15 February 2026). This program is tuition-free, but participants are responsible for covering their personal expenses.

Program Information

• Host University: Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM)

• Program Period: 6 October 2025 – 15 February 2026

• Tuition Fee: Waived

• Self-Funded Expenses:

  • Roundtrip flight ticket

  • Travel insurance

  • Dormitory/accommodation

  • Quarantine (if applicable)

  • Learning materials

  • Daily living expenses

Eligibility

• Open to ITS undergraduate (S1) students from batch 2022 and 2023

• Students must be from a related department

Special Scholarship Opportunity – AIMS Program (Undergraduate Engineering Majors Only)

Undergraduate students from selected engineering and IT-related departments may apply for additional financial support through the ASEAN International Mobility for Students (AIMS) scholarship if they enroll in specific eligible courses.

• Information Systems

• Mechanical Engineering

• Computer Engineering

• Information Technology

Eligible Courses at KMUTT:

• Electrical and Electronic Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

AIMS Support Includes:

• Living expenses

• Flight reimbursement: up to IDR 5,400,000 (via ITS Global Engagement)

• Tuition fees waived at USM

📌 Note:

• AIMS scholarship is available for Undergraduate students only

• Diploma and Master’s students are welcome to join the exchange, but are not eligible for AIMS

Required Documents

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

2. Academic Transcript in English

3. Clear copy of the passport’s identity page

4. Passport-size photo (white background, 4.5 cm high × 3.5 cm wide)

5. Scanned Student ID

6. Application Form

7. Nomination Form

8. Confirmation Letter (fill your personal data only)

9. Recommendation Letter from Academic Advisor

10. Motivation Letter (1 page A4)

    • Clearly mention your course selection and one backup course

11. English Proficiency Certificate (one of the following):

    • TOEFL ITP: min. 543

    • IELTS: min. 5

    • TOEFL iBT: min. 79–80

    • TOEIC: min. 605

    • TEFL: 550

14. GCW Non-Degree Certificate (min. grade C) or GCW Test Result (min. score 80)

    • S2 students may submit R2SEP certificate instead

    • Can be submitted later

16. Portfolio (for creative/design-based courses)

    • Include slides and academic reference authenticating your work

17. Parental Support Letter

    • Must be signed and mention your parents’ awareness and financial support – no format required

Important: Incomplete or late applications will not be processed.

How to Apply
