2026 Shanghai Summer School for Outstanding Energy and Power Engineers amid New Productive Forces

Shanghai Dianji University invites international students to participate in the Shanghai Summer School 2026 – Outstanding Energy and Power Engineers amid New Productive Forces, an international academic and cultural exchange program designed to strengthen interdisciplinary knowledge, engineering practice, and global collaboration in the field of energy and power engineering.

The program combines academic coursework, industrial exposure, expert lectures, and cultural immersion to provide participants with a comprehensive international learning experience in China.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Study topics related to energy and power engineering, including energy system monitoring, fault diagnosis, finite element analysis, PLC systems, and industrial control systems
• Visit and learn directly from leading companies in the energy and power sector
• Attend lectures delivered by distinguished experts and scholars
• Experience Shanghai culture through city walks, cultural activities, and visits to Chongming Island
• Participate in activities introducing traditional Chinese culture and intercultural exchange

The program aims to enhance students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems while developing interdisciplinary perspectives and global competencies.

Scholarship Information

The program plans to accept 20–30 participants through a competitive selection process.

Scholarships are available and cover:

Scolarship Eligibility

The scholarship program is open to non-Chinese international students aged 16–50 years old.

Required Documents

Applicants are required to prepare the following documents:

• Scanned copy of passport information page
• Passport-sized photo and personal/life photo
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or Chinese
• Academic transcript
• Student ID card
• English proficiency certificate (TOEFL/IELTS/GRE or equivalent).
  If English is the medium of instruction at the applicant’s university, proof from the institution may be submitted instead.

Program Application Eligibility

• Open to D4, S1, and S2 ITS students from all academic departments and cohorts.
• Must demonstrate a strong motivation for joining the program.
• In good health
• Sufficient English proficiency to follow lectures and participate in discussions

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Scanned copy of the passport information page (valid for at least one year from July 1, 2027)
• Scanned copy of the ITS Student ID
• Certificate of English Proficiency Test
• Statement Letter (Download from this link – can be submitted after the internal selection process)
• Motivation Letter (1–2 pages) explaining the reasons for applying and why the applicant should be selected.
• GCW certificate with a minimum grade of C

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview via Zoom.
