Dear ITS Students,
Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) would like to invite ITS Students to join their prestigous program: Southeast Asian youth leadership opportunity – Sociovation Forum 2022, this time with a focus on creating powerful social media campaigns to address the challenges caused by internet fraud, fake news, and hate speech.
The Tinder Swindler may be a popular Netflix show, but did you know that there is a disproportionate number of dating scams emerging in Asia? How and why does this happen? How common are recruitment scams in the region? And how do we tackle a cancel culture, and an overwhelming tendency for many to share fake news?
In the past few years, we are seeing how social media can be an incredibly powerful tool – both in destroying people’s lives and in transforming the world for the better. Apply today to stand a chance to participate in eye-opening learning sessions and workshops conducted by Cybersecurity and Digital Marketing & Storytelling experts, and Tech Giants such as Meta Blueprint.
This program will be held on 1-10 June 2022.
SUSS together with Temasek Foundation, is pleased to offer scholarships to selected students. The scholarships will cover programme fees, and costs required if travel into Singapore is permitted (flights, accommodation, travel insurance, meals, and allowance during their stay in Singapore). Priority will be given to students in their third and final year.
This will be a hybrid programme – with both physical and virtual sessions happening concurrently. This is a possibility of travel for Southeast Asian participants into Singapore, depending on the latest border control measures and travel arrangements between Singapore and the respective countries.
This program are open for D4/S1 ITS Students batch 2018, 2019 & 2020 only. Please note that ITS students must apply through ITS Global Engagement & the selected students must managed their own schedule.

5. 1-2 Pages Motivation Letter. Please give strong reason why you need the program and the committee will select you for this program.
