Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam are opening application for everyone who wants to participate in this summer shcool. A quick reminder of what the Amsterdam Summer School stands for:
• Interactive small-scale courses (max. 25 participants), designed to provide an intensive in-dept look at an interdisciplinary topic. All courses are taught by excellent professors of VU Amsterdam and guest lecturers. • A diverse classroom, encouraging interesting discussions and the development of intercultural competences. We accept a maximum of 5 students from the same university per course. • Amsterdam (and surroundings) as part of the classroom: all courses include built-in excursions to museums and institutes such as the International Criminal Court in The Hague and the Anne Frank House.
The application for summer 2016 is now open. For students who apply before 1 March an Early Bird Discount of €100 is available. Additionally we offer ten scholarships for a full tuition fee waiver for highly motivated students.
The tuition fee includes: airport pick-up service, welcome programme, course excursions, 24/7 emergency assistance, on-site support and a transcript of records after completion of the course. Different housing options are available both on and off campus.
We worked hard to improve our programme and proudly present this year’s courses. The courses are distributed over two blocks during July 2016:
