ITS Campus – Friday, August 5, 2022 The Vocational Faculty of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology is ready to operate the Vocational Canteen. This activity begins with the Grand Opening and Community Consultation. The opening of the Vocational Canteen is a new chapter of activity on campus after the Covid-19 outbreak. The background for the establishment of the Vocational Canteen is “In order to prepare a hygienic and inexpensive canteen for students, education staff and lecturers”. The hope is that vocational students in the five departments can get healthy, clean and cheap food. The construction of the Vocational Canteen came from the SAL of the Vocational Faculty and gotong royong from six departments of the Vocational Faculty with a total cost of Rp. 600 million more,” added the Deputy Dean of the Vocational Faculty.

What has been prepared in operating the Vocational Canteen is infrastructure such as buildings, air conditioning, unique tables and chairs, including water and electricity. The mechanism in this canteen, the seller is outside the room and the consumer buys through the window so that the payment used is cashless (Q – Ris). “If anyone uses cash (money) initially they are given a warning, if they still violate it, the sale will be stopped,” added the deputy dean of the Vocational Faculty
Later, there will be seven tenants and one member of the Dharma Wanita Association of Vocational Faculty. The operating hours are estimated at 8.00 – 17.00 WIB.

Yesterday’s grand opening event coincided with the Citizen Consultation meeting of all lecturers and teaching staff of the Vocational Faculty which was held every two months. Incidentally this month the host of the Department of Business Statistics (DSB).
