The Robotics Center was established at the end of 2009 and was officially launched by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on December 14, 2010. The Robotics Center managed by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) – ITS.

Automation and the use of robots in the industry and other fields that need them will increase in the future. The automation and use of robots will be very helpful in increasing the efficiency of a process so that the process will be more economical.

In terms of Robotics, ITS has pioneered the research, development, and education of national robots. This is indicated by the participation of ITS in national robot contests (KRI), regional and international. Based on this, ITS proposes a center for robotics studies, from development to applications that are expected to be very helpful to the community.

To Support Activities in the Robotics Laboratory, there are several laboratories in them which include:

  1. Smart Robot Laboratory;
  2. Production Robot Laboratory;
  3. Industrial Sensor Laboratory;
  4. Robot Control Laboratory.

In the Robotics Laboratory area, there is also an ITS ICT AND ROBOTICS CENTER Arena Building which also supports Robotics Laboratory activities and can also be used as a venue for events such as:

  1. Robot Race;
  2. Seminar;
  3. Training;
  4. Employee Tests;
  5. Marriage;
  6. Reunions and others
