SURABAYA – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again achieved national recognition by winning five awards at the 2024 Diktisaintek Awards. The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek) on Friday (13/12) at the Auditorium of Building D, Kemendikti Saintek Office, Jakarta. This achievement demonstrates ITS’s strong commitment to fostering innovation, research, and collaboration for national progress.

The five awards achieved by ITS include:

   • Category: Indonesia International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA)
   • Sub-category: Best Collaboration and Partnership for Higher Education ISMA Participants.
2. Bronze Winner
   Research, Technology, and Community Engagement Award
   • Category: Publication (SINTA Award)
   • Sub-category: Highest Scientific Publication Score for the Independent Cluster Institution (2021–2023).
3. Bronze Winner
   Research, Technology, and Community Engagement Award
   • Category: Research (SINTA Award)
   • Sub-category: Highest Research Score for the Independent Cluster Institution (2021–2023).
4. Silver Winner
   Institutional Achievement Award
   • Category: Public and Private Universities (PTN & PTS)
   • Sub-category: Best Management of Foreign Student Study Permits in 2024.

Prof. Raden Sjarief Widjaja Receives National Priority in Diktisaintek Awards 2024

At the same event, Prof. Raden Sjarief Widjaja won the National Priority in Diktisaintek Awards for the Blue Economy Sector. This prestigious award recognizes his contributions and dedication to advancing research and programs that support the sustainability of Indonesia’s blue economy.

Prof. Sjarief is renowned as a lecturer and researcher with a strong commitment to developing modern and sustainable maritime technology. His contributions include research, international scientific publications, and innovations aligned with global industrial needs. With his extensive experience and expertise, Prof. Sjarief has made a significant impact on advancing Indonesia’s maritime technology, making him well-deserving of this prestigious recognition.
