Research Opportunities for Students

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continuously strives to produce young researchers who contribute to the nation’s welfare and scientific development for research. The effort is implemented through practicum activities that have the weight of specialized credit or Satuan Kredit Semester (SKS) in several courses. In addition, the curriculum at ITS also provides an opportunity for students to conduct research internships or practical work at universities, research institutes, or companies.

No waiting to be a researcher or a graduate student to do research. At Institut Teknologi sepuluh Nopemeber (ITS), undergraduate students also actively conduct research outside of the course system. ITS also provides students with extensive opportunities to develop independent research or join various faculties research projects. ITS students conduct research independently through various competitions and grants. By doing research, students will be trained to develop analytical, managerial, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Below are various research opportunities for ITS students.

Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM)

Student Creativity Program (PKM) is a program run by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti) of the Republic of Indonesia to provide an opportunity for students to realize their creativity through financial support. There are many categories of programs funded through PKM, namely research, invention, application of technology, entrepreneurship, and community service. In addition, PKM also accommodates categories of written visionary ideas and scientific articles and provides incentives for the best programs. More information about PKM could be accessed here.

ITS funding assistance

Besides through PKM, ITS also provides internal funding sources. The list of funding sources for obtaining student research assistance is presented as follows:

Grants

Funding sources for research can also be obtained through grants from various donor agencies and competition from research institutions and companies. To receive the grants, ITS students can submit a research proposal in accordance with the theme of the competition.
