ITS Campus, ITS News<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Demonstrating its consistent presence on the global stage, the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) served as an Indonesian delegate in an international forum. The forum, titled The 14th Franco-Indonesian Joint Working Group (JWG) on Higher Education, Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, took place in Angers, France, over three days beginning July 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The ITS delegation was led directly by ITS Rector Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, S.T., M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., accompanied by Dr. Agus Budi Raharjo, a lecturer from the ITS Department of Informatics<\/a>. ITS’s participation in this forum would not have been possible without the support of the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI)<\/a> in Paris, France. Among the key figures was the Education and Cultural Attach\u00e9 (Atdikbud) of KBRI for France, Dr. Syarifa Hanoum, S.T., M.T., who also serves as a lecturer in the ITS Department of Business Management.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The Indonesian delegation, including the ITS Rector, participates in the high-level Indonesia-France cooperation meeting as part of the 14th JWG series at Universit\u00e9 d’Angers, France<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bambang explained that this activity constitutes an international forum for academic, scientific, and institutional cooperation established between France and Indonesia for over a decade. This forum connects various stakeholders from both countries and serves as a platform to deepen collaboration across multiple fields, including higher education, research, innovation, and academic mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, Bambang added, the JWG identified several joint priorities that became the primary focus of both nations. The discussions centered on efforts to strengthen the role of universities as strategic partners in supporting each country’s priority programs. “The topics included sustainable development, innovation ecosystems, and university-industry partnerships,” he stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to focusing on the main agenda, the ITS delegation also held a special bilateral meeting with representatives from Universit\u00e9 Savoie Mont Blanc. The discussion aimed to initiate more specific strategic cooperation programs between the two institutions. “This forum serves as a golden bridge for ITS to unlock cutting-edge collaboration opportunities with leading institutions in France,” stated the ITS Rector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, ITS also participated through an exhibition booth that promoted the five flagship fields of the Pahlawan Campus. These five areas include computer science, business management, marine technology, energy, and sustainable manufacturing. Through this exhibition booth, numerous representatives from French universities and research institutions expressed strong interest in establishing further collaboration with ITS.<\/span><\/p>\n

ITS’s participation in the 14th JWG represents a concrete step in the campus’s transformation toward becoming a World Class University. This aligns with ITS’s vision to become a resilient, impactful, and globally recognized institution. “We aim not only to excel domestically but also to make tangible contributions to the global ecosystem,” added the ITS Professor of Mechanical Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

This internationalization effort also constitutes ITS’s tangible contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG point 4 on Quality Education, as well as SDG point 17 on Partnerships for the Goals. (*)<\/span><\/p>\n
