ITS Campus<\/strong> \u2013 As part of the 2026 Global Community Outreach (GCO) program, **Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) organized an International Guest Lecture featuring distinguished academics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange while further strengthening academic collaboration among ITS, UTM, UTP, and UNITEN.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Guest Lecture was attended by students, faculty members, and international participants, offering valuable insights into emerging research trends, technological innovations, and strategic issues relevant to both academia and industry.<\/p>\n

The first session, entitled “Gaining Topic Ideas and Research Writing<\/em>” focused on strategies for developing impactful research topics, identifying research gaps, and producing high-quality scholarly articles suitable for publication in reputable international journals. Participants gained valuable insights into critical thinking in research design and effective scientific writing that contributes meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge.<\/p>\n

The second session explored “Smart Innovation: Balancing AI Technology with Ethical Integrity<\/em>,” examining the rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) alongside the ethical challenges associated with its development. The speaker emphasized that AI innovation must be pursued responsibly, with careful consideration of transparency, accountability, data privacy, and human-centered values. The discussion encouraged participants to view AI not merely as a transformative technology, but as an innovation that should deliver sustainable benefits to society.<\/p>\n

Completing the lecture series, the third session, “Marine Robotics Research and Hydrodynamic Testing at the Marine Research Center UTM” introduced participants to cutting-edge research conducted at the Marine Research Center UTM, particularly in the fields of marine robotics and hydrodynamic testing. Participants gained insights into robotic technologies for marine exploration and environmental monitoring, vessel performance testing methodologies, and opportunities for collaborative research to advance innovative and sustainable maritime technologies.<\/p>\n

The Guest Lecture reflects ITS’s commitment to fostering an academic environment that embraces global collaboration and knowledge exchange.
