ITS Campus, ITS News<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has once again achieved a remarkable milestone on the global stage. According to the latest release of the QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2027, ITS is officially ranked 497th among the world’s best universities. This significant leap from its previous position at 509th is the result of tangible contributions across various assessment indicators, all of which recorded positive improvements.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Head of the Institutional Reputation Unit at the Office of Quality Assurance (KPM) ITS, Sarah Cahyadini, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., explained that this achievement was driven by impressive performance across six indicators. The most prominent driver of this year’s advancement was the significant surge in internationalization indicators. “The overall QS WUR score for ITS increased to 32.5 from the previous 31.9,” she stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the faculty member from the Department of Architecture<\/a> at ITS highlighted that the International Students Ratio indicator recorded the highest score in Indonesia. This impressive score of 18.2 also affirms ITS as the university with the best international climate in Indonesia. “The numerous short-course programs have contributed significantly to this achievement,” Sarah remarked with pride.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moving forward, Sarah explained that ITS’s strategy will focus on attracting a greater number of international students to pursue their studies at ITS. The International Faculty Ratio also recorded the highest increase, reaching 84.2. This is the result of one of ITS’s extensive strategies in inviting adjunct professors. “These are lecturers from abroad who actively teach while also conducting collaborative research within the ITS campus environment,” Sarah elaborated.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the areas of academic reputation and the global research ecosystem, ITS is demonstrating increasingly strong performance. The positive sentiment from the global higher education community is reflected in the Academic Reputation score, which rose to 30.5 from 27.4. The quality of publications has also gradually improved, as seen from the Citations per Faculty score, which reached 2.9 from the previous 2.7.<\/span><\/p>\n

ITS is not only excelling in academic and research domains but also consistently proving its commitment as a sustainable green campus. The Sustainability indicator successfully achieved a score of 55.4. This improvement is inseparable from the various concrete efforts by ITS, which are not only focused on improving the campus’s physical environment but also encompass economic aspects and social sustainability within the community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through the expansion of access to the international level, the enhancement of the global faculty ratio, and the strengthening of the research ecosystem, ITS strives to ensure the provision of quality higher education to produce excellent talents ready to face global challenges.
