State in the United States? It was not. Georgia in question is one of the countries on the border of Asia and Europe. Rr. Indira Rachmiananda is a student of the Department of Materials Engineering ITS 2017 got the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the country at the edge of Europe by volunteering to teach kindergarten through the Childland project in Lagodekhi, Georgia for approximately two months.<\/p>\n<p>Indira said to join this project she registered through the AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) which is a student organization spread out in more than 100 countries in the world. There are many projects offered on the association&#8217;s website and each project aims to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project that he participated in aims to achieve SDGs number 4, namely Quality Education. This made my experience more memorable because I had the opportunity to live with a native of Georgia and experience the culture firsthand. And because the project is held every Monday-Friday, I can use the time on weekends to visit other cities in Georgia, &#8220;he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Indira also explained that living cost in Georgia is relatively inexpensive compared to other countries. If you don&#8217;t live with a host family, you will spend 20 Running or around 100,000 Rupiah per day for accommodation, food, drink and transportation. Public transportation in Georgia consists of a well-integrated metro, bus and minibus (such as angkot). The fare charged for the metro and bus is 0.5 Running or around 2,500 Rupiah and for minibuses is 0.6-0.8 Running.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During nearly two months following this volunteer activity, I also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with students from various parts of the world such as Poland, Germany, India, etc. so that this experience greatly opened my horizons and developed me.
