Sistem ini dapat menghasilkan sayuran atau hasil pertanian organik tanpa pestisida sehingga memiliki potensi memajukan hasil pertanian tanpa mencemari lingkungan. Sementara itu untuk daerah terpencil atau pegunungan, aplikasi teknologi akuaponik terkendala belum adanya instalasi listrik PLN. Panel surya tersebut mengeluarkan arus searah (DC) yang kemudian disambungkan ke MPPT dan Inverter sehingga dapat menyuplai kebutuhan pompa air akuaponik, aerator kolam ikan dan penerangan green house. Green House dengan luas 6&#215;7 meter juga dilengkapi insect net untuk menghalangi hama untuk masuk sehingga tidak perlu menggunakan pestisida dalam operasinya.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cMahasiswa juga yang menghitung dan memutuskan desain akuaponik dengan sistem horizontal dengan pertimbangan membutuhkan daya pompa yang lebih kecil daripada sistem vertikal\u201d kata Dr. Moh. Irwan Fathkhur Rozy. Sistem ini digabungkan dengan bio-fertilizer hasil komposting sampah pasar terdekat sehingga dapat membantu pertumbuhan tanaman.<\/span><span
