{"id":5401,"date":"2022-03-18T06:02:18","date_gmt":"2022-03-17T23:02:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tkimia\/?page_id=5401"},"modified":"2022-03-18T06:02:18","modified_gmt":"2022-03-17T23:02:18","slug":"activity-6","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tkimia\/en\/activity-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Activity 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][dot_custom_title title=&#8221;Making a mini plant to realize a teaching factory that carries an environmentally friendly concept (zero waste \u2013 minimum energy consumption) that is superior with the support of the Internet of Things (IoT) and a roadshow of factory design and research works to the business and industrial world (DUDI)&#8221;][\/dot_custom_title][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4713&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_column_text]Departing from the success and experience of DTK ITS in developing factories as described in activity C5 and also the competence of existing staff, DTK will make a mini plant as a manifestation of a teaching factory (TEFA) which will focus on the use of biomass, especially lignocellulosic. This is because some of the teaching staff have an established track record of research in terms of managing and utilizing biomass from various sources of research grants, both national and local, as seen in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tkimia\/id\/riset-dan- collaboration\/grants\/research-grants\/\">https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tkimia\/id\/riset-dan- collaboration\/grants\/research-grants\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the average H-index Scopus = 5.34. Six lecturers had Scopus H-index &gt;10; 11 people with Scopus H-index&gt;9; 13 people with Scopus H-index &gt; 5, and the rest have Scopus H-index = 1. So armed with experience and well-established human resources as a strong initial foundation, the independent campus program will support and assist ITS DTK in realizing TEFA: downstream utilization of lignocellulosic biomass materials from lab scale to miniplant production. This program is structured to be run with industry through ALTEKIMITS (ITS Chemical Engineering alumni).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the gap between universities and DUDI is the lack of application of the work of universities to DUDI and funding or requests for problem solving from DUDI at universities. The roadshow activity of introducing pre-design of chemical plants and research results to DUDI is proposed to address this gap by increasing the intensity and quality of meetings between universities and DUDI so that the transformation of the excellence of Study Programs for DUDI and DUDI&#8217;s participation in the development of science and technology through universities height is reached. In addition, character and work ethic (discipline, responsibility, honesty, cooperation, leadership, etc.) can be further developed, especially for students.<\/p>\n<p>This gap can be minimized or even eliminated through: (1) making a mini plant for the implementation of a teaching factory (TEFA) which can increase the activities of the tridharma of higher education and also synergize with DUDI;
