Kegiatan ini mendatangkan Ir. Liliane Geerling, R.TD dari HZ University of Applied Sciences-Delta Academi, Belanda, sebagai pembicara dan pemandu diskusi.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_872\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-872\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-872 \" src=\"https:\/\/oe.its.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/78.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"265\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-872\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peserta Diskusi Kesetaraan Gender Sesi-1<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Diskusi dibuka oleh Ketua DTK, Dr. Eng. Rudi Walujo P., dan dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan materi kesetaraan gender oleh Liliane. Gender menurut Liliane merupakan perbedaan dan fungsi peran sosial yang dikonstruksikan oleh masyarakat, serta hak dan tanggung jawab laki-laki dan perempuan (<em>masculine and feminine<\/em>), bukan sebagai perbedaan jenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan secara biologis (<em>male and female<\/em>). Liliana juga memberikan contoh kondisi kesetaraan gender yang ada di lingkungan DTK. Berdasarkan risetnya, DTK masih perlu meningkatkan peran kesetaraan gender di lingkungan kampus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Kegiatan diskusi ini diadakan dalam 2 sesi, sesi pertama mengundang seluruh dosen DTK, kemudian sesi kedua dikhususkan untuk kalangan wanita di sekitar kampus ITS.
