    Di hari kedua Kolokium Ilmiah A. Y\u00fccel Odaba\u015fi Colloquium Series, 3rd<\/sup> International Meeting<\/strong> (AYO-COL 2018)<\/strong> di Istanbul Turki ini, disajikan 8 makalah yang terbagi dalam 3 Sesi. Ditambah satu paparan Keynote Speech. Selain mendapatkan manfaat atas ilmu dan wawasan baru dari pemaparan makalah-makalah, di hari kedua ini dari komunikasi yang dibangun juga terbuka peluang kerja sama akademis\/riset yang sangat baik antara DOE-FTK-ITS dengan (FNAOE) \u2013 ITU. Paling memungkinkan adalah sandwich program<\/em> dengan joint supervision<\/em> untuk mahasiswa S2 dan S3 dari FTK-ITS.<\/p>\n

    Hari kedua Pelaksanaan AYO-COL 2018 dilaksanakan pada Jumat 16 November 2018, di kampus Faculty of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering (FNAOE) \u2013 ITU mulai pukul 09.15 hingga 15.30. Pada hari kedua dipresentasikan 8 paper yang terbagi dalam 3 Sesi yaitu Sesi 5 (1 makalah), 6 (4 makalah) dan Sesi 7 (3 makalah) ditambah 1 paparan Keynote Speech di Sesi 5.<\/p>\n

    Acara hari kedua diawali dengan Keynote Address #3 oleh Prof. Y.L. Young dari University of Michigan, USA, yang memaparkan adanya tantangan pemahaman tentang Cavitating and Ventilating Flows<\/em> dalam kaitannya dengan struktur laut dengan multi-fungsi.<\/p>\n

    Saya mempresentasikan paper pada Sesi #6, berjudul An Investigation of Underwater Ship Noise Utilizing Circulating Water Channel<\/em>, dengan penulis Dr. Endang Widjiati (BPH-BPPT), Prof. Eko B Djatmiko (DOE-ITS), Dr. Wisnu Wardhana (DOE-ITS), dan Dr. Wirawan (FTE-ITS). Sesi ini dimoderatori oleh Prof. P. Brandner. Sementara 3 paper lainnya di Sesi ini lebih membahas hasil-hasil dari studi numerik terhadap persoalan sistem propulsi untuk meminimalkan efek kavitasi. Acara AYO-COL 2018 hari kedua ini berakhir jam 15.30. Sebelumnya telah diawali dengan pemaparan 3 makalah di Sesi 7 yang dimoderatori oleh Prof. N. Sasaki.<\/p>\n

    Pada sekitar jam 16:00 saya berkesempatan bertemu dengan Dekan FNAOE-ITU, Prof. Ahmet Ergin bersama Prof. Ismail Helvacioglu. Dalam pertemuan tersebut pada awal\u00adnya dibahas tentang rencana pengembangan kerjasama antara FNAOE-ITU dengan FTK-ITS. Namun kemudian Prof. Ergin mengusulkan sebaiknya kerjasama diperluas dalam bentuk MoU pada tingkat Perguruan Tinggi antara Rektor ITU dan ITS, sehing\u00adga akan memayungi peluang kerjasama antara fakultas-fakultas dan departemen-departemen secara lebih luas.<\/p>\n

    Salah satu kesempatan kerjasama antara FTK-ITS dengan FNAOE-ITU yang pada saat ini saya lihat paling memungkinkan dan praktis adalah sandwich program<\/em> dengan joint supervision<\/em> untuk mahasiswa S2 dan S3 dari FTK-ITS. Pertimbangan utama sandwich program di ITU adalah karena fasilitas laboratorium yang relative lengkap, berkelas Eropa, dan para dosennya yang berkualitas. Sebagai catatan ITU adalah universitas tua, yang didirikan pada tahun 1773.<\/p>\n

    Pertimbangan penting lainnya adalah biaya yang cukup terjangkau bagi mahasiswa S2 atau S3 dari FTK-ITS jika akan belajar 1 atau 2 semester di FNAOE-ITU. Sebagai gambarannya adalah, menurut informasi yang diperoleh dari mas Yoga, mahasiswa Indonesia di Istanbul, dan juga pak Nurhadi, dosen muda Departemen Teknik Sistem Perkapalan ITS yang sedang studi di Universitas Elki\u015fehir, kurang lebihnya adalah sebagai berikut:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Tuition Fee S2 dan S3 di ITU per semester adalah sekitar Rp. 1,000,000,-<\/li>\n
    • Biaya hidup per bulan di Istanbul akan cukup dengan Rp. 2,500,000,- dan sangat baik bila dengan anggaran Rp. 3,000,000,-.<\/li>\n
    • Biaya tiket Jakarta-Istanbul pp bisa diperoleh sampai dengan harga serendahnya Rp. 7,000,000,-<\/li>\n
    • Biaya settling down<\/em> untuk tinggal bulan pertama di Istanbul, untuk kebutuhan sejumlah uang tanggungan (apartemen, listrik, gas, dll) perlu dipersiapkan sebesar Rp. 10,000,000,-.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
