The Department of Civil Infrastructure Engineering at ITS organized a Silaturahmi and Halalbihalal event to commemorate 1 Syawal 1446 H, serving as a meaningful occasion to strengthen brotherhood and togetherness within the academic community. The event was attended by lecturers, administrative staff, and students, who gathered to celebrate the day of victory after completing the fasting month of Ramadan.
The event featured a guest speaker, Dr. Darmaji, S.Si., M.T., who delivered an insightful religious talk emphasizing the importance of maintaining relationships (silaturahmi), seeking forgiveness, and strengthening Islamic values in daily life. In his lecture, he highlighted that Eid al-Fitr is not merely a celebration, but also a moment for self-reflection to become better individuals, both personally and professionally.
The program began with an opening session, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and remarks from department representatives. A solemn yet warm atmosphere was felt throughout the event, as participants enthusiastically engaged in each part of the program. The highlight of the event was the religious talk (tausiyah), which provided inspiration and spiritual enrichment for all attendees.
In his message, the speaker encouraged all members of the academic community to uphold the values cultivated during Ramadan as guiding principles in their daily activities, including in the educational environment. Values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and social awareness were emphasized as essential qualities to be continuously practiced by both lecturers and students.
Following the tausiyah, the event continued with a handshake session as a symbol of mutual forgiveness among participants. This moment held deep significance, fostering a sense of unity, warmth, and stronger interpersonal connections within the Department of Civil Infrastructure Engineering at ITS.
Through this Silaturahmi and Halalbihalal event, it is hoped that all members of the academic community can strengthen interpersonal relationships, enhance a sense of togetherness, and create a harmonious working and learning environment.
