Proud Achievement of DTIS ITS at the KJI–KBGI 2025 Competition at Yogyakarta State University
The Indonesian Bridge Competition (KJI) XX and the Indonesian Building Competition (KBGI) XVI in 2025 once again became a stage for showcasing the finest innovations of civil engineering students across the nation. This year, the final event was held on 13–17 November 2025 at Yogyakarta State University. The Department of Civil Infrastructure Engineering (DTIS) ITS sent two outstanding teams—Team INDESTRUKTRA and Team ASKARA—both of which had passed rigorous selection stages before successfully advancing as national finalists.
The competition journey was intense and tightly scheduled. It began with registration and mentoring on 13 November, followed by the opening ceremony and technical meeting on 14 November. The following days became decisive moments as participants presented their innovative works in the categories of precast concrete structures and steel structures. DTIS ITS presented two innovative, functional, and technically strong designs of 10-story buildings, demonstrating excellence in both structural integrity and aesthetics.
Team INDESTRUKTRA, competing in the precast concrete structure category, brought forward their creation, Metronava Tower—a building designed with precision, construction efficiency, and exceptional structural resilience. Guided by advisor Mohammad Akbar Alrasyidi, ST., MT., and strengthened by members Trias Karimarazzaq Mulyono and Muhammad Miftachul Ilmi, the team delivered a convincing performance from the presentation session through the construction assessment. Their efforts culminated in an outstanding achievement, winning Third Place in the Concrete Category of KBGI 2025.
In the steel structure category, Team ASKARA, consisting of advisor Kohar Yudoprasetyo, S.ST., MT., and students Raihan Fadhlurrahman and Alvina Abe Stela, presented Argawidya Tower—a 10-story steel building design that emphasized creative façade development and an efficient construction execution method. Their strong performance earned high recognition from the judges, resulting in two awards: the Creativity in Design Award and the Construction Method Award in the KBGI Steel category.
These achievements stand as a source of great pride for DTIS ITS, demonstrating that innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence can materialize into impactful real-world creations. Their success not only brings honor to the department and the institute but also inspires other students to continue innovating and competing at the national level.
