As part of the preparation for the prestigious 20th Indonesian Bridge Competition (KJI) and the 16th Indonesian Building Competition (KBGI) 2025, the Department of Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Faculty of Vocational Studies, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held the KJI–KBGI 2025 Trial on November 4, 2025. The event took place at the Volleyball Court of the Civil Infrastructure Engineering Department, ITS Manyar Campus, and involved two finalist teams from ITS who will represent the university in the KBGI competition.
This trial served as an essential simulation to test the teams’ readiness, design performance, and technical skills before the national finals, which will be held from November 13–17, 2025, at Yogyakarta State University, in accordance with the official KJI–KBGI 2025 timeline.
The two ITS representative teams are Team ASKARA and Team INDESTRUKTRA. Team ASKARA, supervised by Kohar Yudoprasetyo, S.ST., M.T., competes in the Ten-Story Steel Structure Building category with their project titled “Argawidya Tower”—a design that combines structural efficiency with modern architectural aesthetics. Meanwhile, Team INDESTRUKTRA, guided by Mohammad Akbar Alrasyidi, S.T., M.T., takes part in the Ten-Story Precast Concrete Structure Building category, presenting their work “Metronava Tower”, which emphasizes sustainable construction and the advantages of precast concrete technology in accelerating project completion.
The trial provided an opportunity not only to evaluate structural performance but also to strengthen teamwork, refine construction assembly methods, and ensure that all design elements meet the technical and safety standards required by the competition. The event was attended by lecturers, students, and other members of the Civil Infrastructure Engineering community who came to support and encourage the teams.
Through this activity, ITS reaffirms its commitment to fostering innovation and excellence among its students. With strong collaboration, creativity, and determination, it is hoped that both ITS teams will deliver their best performances at KJI–KBGI 2025, proudly representing the Faculty of Vocational Studies and ITS at the national level.
