Desa Lombang, memiliki pantai yang tepatnya terletak di sebelah timur Sumenep, sekitar 25 km dari Kota Sumenep. Tepatnya di Kecamatan Batang \u2013 Batang. Pantai di Lombang terdiri dari Pasir Putih yang ditutupi dengan pohon cemara yang rimbun menutupi daerah pesisir hingga garis pantai. Keindahan tersebut menjadi daya tarik wisata di wilayah Madura timur.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1832 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All-355x237.jpg 355w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/tgeofisika\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/33\/2018\/03\/All.jpg 1430w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Di tengah keindahan objek wisata dari Pantai Lombang, tim dosen beserta mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Geofisika ITS mendapat kabar mengenai ditemukannya sumber air panas di daerah tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>Salah satu warga setempat, Yoga, turut mengonfirmasi kejadian tersebut ketika dilakukannya wawancara saat dilakukannya survei pendahuluan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDulu, salah satu warga di sini pernah menggali sumur untuk keperluan sehari \u2013 hari. Dan air yang dihasilkan sumur tersebut panas, bahkan mengeluarkan bau belerang\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Hal tersebut menjadi salah satu daya tarik tersendiri bagi akademisi Departemen Teknik Geofisika, selain dari objek wisata. Tanggal 27 Agustus lalu, tim mahasiswa beserta dosen melakukan penelitian di daerah tersebut dalam rangka mencari asal \u2013 usul terbentuknya sumber air panas tersebut dikaji dari perspektif ilmu kebumian. Lantas, acara penelitian \u201cGeophysical Fieldcamp 2018\u201d, oleh Departemen Teknik Geofisika dilaksanakan dari tanggal 27 Agustus -3 September 2018 guna meneliti sistem Hidrothermal area Desa Lombang, Kecamatan Batang \u2013 Batang, Kabupaten Sumenep, Madura.<\/p>\n<p>Tim mahasiswa tahun angkatan 2015, asisten, dan dosen melakukan pengukuran metode geofisika mulai dari Hari Selasa hingga Minggu. Beberapa metode yang dilakukan pengukuran adalah: Gravitasi, Magnetik, Seismik, Geolistrik, Mikrotremor, dan Magnetotellurik. Metode gravitasi, magnetik, dan magnetotellurik digunakan guna melihat struktur bawah permukaan daerah penelitian. Metode Seismik digunakan untuk melihat perlapisan serta struktur bawah permukaan. Geolistrik digunakan dengan <em>vertical electrical sounding <\/em>guna melihat variasi resistivitas semu bawah permukaan per titik pengukuran. Mikrotremor untuk mengukur tebal lapisan sedimen, serta adanya aliran fluida bawah permukaan.
