Department of Engineering Physics is organizing the 3rd international Seminar on Photonics, Optics, and its Application<\/em>\u00a0(ISPhOA). The world-class seminar is held for two days since Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 in Bumi Surabaya City Resort.<\/p>\n

Agus Muhammad Hatta, Ph.D. the Head of department explains that this event was previously held in Bali at 2014 and 2016. ISPhOA is held to fulfill the need of photonics researchers for sharing and collaborating.<\/p>\n

This time, Surabaya is chosen as the venue. The organizer presents Remo,<\/strong> traditional dance from East Java to audiences. “Beside the seminar itself, we want to introduce Indonesian culture, especially Surabaya`s atmosphere.” Dr. Hatta said.<\/p>\n

Not only introduce Indonesia as cultured country, the participants sure expect the meeting between researchers around the world in photonics field. “ISPhOA is the right place to build connection, sharing the knowledge between speakers and participants.<\/p>\n

Welcome dinner at<\/p>\n

Intan Dwi Kurniawati, ISPhOA 2018 secretary explains that this seminar consist of plenary session, then divided to three parallel session. Those are\u00a0Optical Engineering<\/em>,\u00a0Biomedical and Optical Spectroscopy<\/em>, and\u00a0Photonics Device and Material Processing<\/em>. There are two kinds of presentation, through oral or poster presentation. Regardless of the category, all papers will be published in\u00a0SPIE Digital Library<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Besides Hotel Bumi Surabaya, the participants of ISPhOA was welcomed at\u00a0Mayor of Surabaya`s House<\/span>\u00a0for a\u00a0gala dinner. This series of event ended by\u00a0<\/em>closing party<\/em>, at Thusday (8\/3) along the winner announcement.<\/p>\n
