Vision<\/strong><\/h1>\n

To become a Master’s-level higher education institution capable of serving as a reputable centre of excellence in both higher education and research in the field of Engineering Physics \u2014 at the national, regional, and international levels \u2014 and of producing graduates who are able to compete in the global arena.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/strong><\/h1>\n

In general terms, the mission borne by the Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics is to carry out and continuously develop its function as the vanguard of advancement in the most current body of knowledge in Engineering Physics, in order to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Conduct high-quality and innovative Education, Research, and Community Service in the field of Engineering Physics;<\/li>\n
  2. Contribute actively to assisting central and regional government, industry, and the wider community in resolving the technological challenges they face, through research collaboration and the development of applied technology grounded in Engineering Physics;<\/li>\n
  3. Advance the development of science and technology in the field of Engineering Physics in support of accelerated national development;<\/li>\n
  4. Enhance the quality of education and research on the path towards becoming a World Class University<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    More specifically, this mission can be elaborated into the following points:<\/p>\n

    1. To manage Master’s (S2) education and research characterised by the distinctive scientific approach of Engineering Physics in an effective, efficient, and accountable manner;<\/li>\n
    2. To produce outstanding innovations in the field of Engineering Physics through research, and to disseminate the resulting achievements;<\/li>\n
    3. To serve as an excellent and trusted reference institution in resolving problems in the field of Engineering Physics and in current science and technology more broadly.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Objectives<\/strong><\/h1>\n

      Based on the Vision and Mission formulated above, the objectives of the Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics can be stated as follows:<\/p>\n

      1. Mastery of the basic sciences \u2014 Physics and Mathematics \u2014 together with a strong and in-depth command of engineering;<\/li>\n
      2. Strong analytical capability in solving a wide range of engineering sciences<\/em> problems in industry and society in an integrated manner; and<\/li>\n
      3. The ability to produce original innovations in science and technology related to the field of Engineering Physics.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
