This initiative is guided by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/sustainability\/circularlettersdgs\/\"><strong>Rector\u2019s Circular Letter No. 9665\/IT2\/TU.00.08\/V\/2024<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on \u201cSupporting ITS as a Sustainable and Environmentally Aware Campus,\u201d which emphasizes the adoption of energy conservation and clean energy technologies throughout the university.<\/p><p>As part of this system, ITS records and evaluates the total amount of low-carbon energy generated annually. In 2024, ITS utilized\u00a0<b>three renewable energy sources<\/b>, collectively producing\u00a0<b>333,913 kWh per year<\/b>, consisting of:<\/p><ul><li><b>Solar power systems<\/b>\u00a0installed in various campus buildings and facilities, generating\u00a0<b>332,472 kWh\/year<\/b>;<\/li><li><b>Biodiesel-based generation<\/b>, producing\u00a0<b>1,200 kWh\/year<\/b>\u00a0from renewable fuel sources; and<\/li><li><b>Clean biomass energy<\/b>\u00a0from the Department of Industrial Chemical Engineering, producing\u00a0<b>240 kWh\/year<\/b>\u00a0through sustainable conversion processes.<\/li><\/ul><p>All energy data are integrated into the university\u2019s central monitoring framework, ensuring that\u00a0<b>energy performance and carbon reduction progress are tracked comprehensively across all ITS units and facilities<\/b>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e4d4da2 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"e4d4da2\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5579a36 e-n-tabs-none elementor-widget elementor-widget-n-tabs\" data-id=\"5579a36\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" id=\"campus-life-tab\" data-widget_type=\"nested-tabs.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-n-tabs\" data-widget-number=\"89627190\" aria-label=\"Tabs. The research\u00a0<strong>emphasized the government\u2019s key role in supporting vulnerable groups<\/strong>\u2014especially those in high-risk areas\u2014by ensuring their participation in disaster resilience programs and decision-making.
