The Department of Environmental Engineering aims to produce graduates capable of providing infrastructure in the field of Environmental Engineering, developed of technology for Environmental Protection and Environmental Remediation. The department’s target is to become a reference in an internationally research innovation in the field Environmental EngineeringAccreditation A from BAN-PT has obtained Bachelor and Master Program, while Doctoral Program received B Accreditation. Since 2015, ITS Environmental Engineering Degree Program has received international accreditation through ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)
Program/Degree available: Bachelor (S1), Master (S2), Doctor (S3).Students are free to choose one of two competencies offered: Environmental Technology Engineering – includes water and wastewater treatment plant design, drainage design, air pollution control design, and solid waste treatment design.Environmental Management – includes environmental impact assessment; environmental management system; environmental audit; management of environmental quality standard; cleaner production; health and safety environment (HSE); solid, liquid, and hazardous waste management; and air quality management.Subjects offered to reinforce above competencies are grouped into nine field studies: Drinking water, wastewater, solid waste and hazardous waste, air quality management, environmental sanitation and phytotechnology, basics of designs/planning, environmental management, entrepreneurship, and research methodology.
Based on the competencies, graduates are capable to work in many different environmental engineering fields, such as industrial manufacturers, power plants, oil companies, mining companies, environmental consultant, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, etc.

Geophysics Study Program was initially established under Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences before transferred to be under Department of Geomatics Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning. It finally developed and became Department of Geophysics Engineering. Since the beginning of the establishment, Department of Geophysics Engineering have shown its potential by winning various national research funding awards. The department has a goal of achieving an international reputation in earth science and technology. The technology developed can support industry in the fields of energy, natural resources and marine engineering for the development of environmentally infrastructure. Established in 2013, Departement of Geophysics Engineering has produced its first graduates in 2017. Currently the Department of Geophysics Engineering is undergoing the National Accreditation process of BAN-PT.
