Different from inductive stove, the stove that had been tested is using plasma technology. Plasma known as the 4th state of matter after solid, liquid, and gas. Plasma is superheated matter, so hot that the electrons are ripped away form the atoms forming an ionized gas. Thunder is an example of plasma. Brand of this plasma stove is Dragon Driver and manufactured in China. Power consumption of this stove can be adjusted and can reach up to 2200 watt.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1520\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-1.jpg 692w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-1-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-1-355x269.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><br \/>\nThe test was performed in PUI STP ITS facility. This test intended to known the thermal efficiency of the stove and temperature of the plasma. The efficiency was tested with measuring the sensible heat, which is measures the amount of energy and time that used for heating the water when the water on room temperature until its boiling temperature and measuring the latent heat, which is measures the amount of energy and time that used to evaporate a mass of water on a period of time. The plasma technology can produce high thermal efficiency and with using a thermocouple, plasma temperature can be measured which is the temperature can reach up to 1100oC.
