Berbeda dari kompor listrik induksi, kompor yang diujikan menggunakan teknologi plasma. Plasma sendiri dikenal sebagai wujud benda ke-4, setelah padat, cair, dan gas. Plasma merupakan benda yang mengalami fasa superheated, sangat panas sehingga membuat elektron memisahkan diri dari atomnya dan menghasilkan gas yang terionisasi. Petir merupakan contoh dari plasma. Kompor plasma ini bermerek Dragon Driver dan dimanufaktur oleh negara China. Konsumsi daya dari kompor ini dapat diatur dan dapat mencapai angka hingga 2200 watt.<br \/>\n<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1516\" src=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove.jpg 692w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-300x228.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/stp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/113\/2021\/07\/stove-355x269.jpg 355w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Pengujian dilakukan pada fasilitas PUI STP ITS. Pengujian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui tingkat effisiensi termal dan suhu dari plasma. Tingkat effisiensi diujikan dengan mengukur sensible heat, yakni mengukur energi dan waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk memanaskan air ketika suhu air pada suhu ruangan hingga mencapai suhu mendidihnya dan mengukur latent heat, yakni mengukur energi dan waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk menguapkan sekian massa air selama periode waktu tertentu. Teknologi plasma ini dapat menghasilkan effisiensi termal yang tinggi dan dengan menggunakan thermocouple, suhu plasma dapat diukur dimana suhu plasma mencapai angka 1100oC.
