In the future, informaton technology will be consistently actng as an important factor of the natonal economic growth, as well as today. As we know that the informaton technology has been widely used in any kinds of human aspects. The government realizes that this issue is really important for the future of Indonesia. Thus, since the years of 80’s, the government had stated that the development of high level educaton, partcularly the discipline of computer and informatcs are one of the top priority programs along with several other disciplines, i.e. management, accountng and arts. For the tme being, the Department has been managing cooperaton with several insttutons. For example, conductng join researches with Kumamoto University – Japan, Hiroshima University – Japan; double degree programs with Fontys University – The Netherland, InHolland University – The Netherland, NTUST – Taiwan; academic/research collaboratons with Nokia, Indosat. There are 52 teaching sta?s at Department of Informatcs with 4 professors. The academic sta?s are 23 PhDs, 23 masters, and 6 bachelor degree holders from distnguished local and internatonal universites.
