NUPTK

NUPTK (Unique Number for Educators and Teaching Staff)

is a single, unique identification number (16 digits) that is now mandatory for all lecturers at universities in Indonesia, replacing previous identification numbers such as NIDN, NIDK, and NUP. NUPTK serves as the official identity for lecturer data collection and administration in a centralized data system at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

What is NUPTK for Lecturers?

  • Single Identity Number: NUPTK is a unique identity number, meaning that each lecturer only has one NUPTK, and this number is designed for administrative and data collection purposes.
  • Replacement for NIDN and Others: Since mid-2024, based on the latest regulations (such as Kepmen No. 133/M/2023), NUPTK has become the official identity number for lecturers, replacing NIDN (National Lecturer Identification Number), NIDK (Special Lecturer Identification Number), and NUP (Unique Educator Number).
  • Centralized Database: The issuance of NUPTK is intended to consolidate data on educators and teaching staff (including lecturers) into a single system and centralized database for ease of data collection.
  • Updating Lecturer Data: The issuance of NUPTK requires lecturers to match and update their data, which includes employment status, job placement, and NIK verification, to ensure data accuracy.

Purpose and Benefits of NUPTK for Lecturers:

  • Administrative Efficiency: NUPTK simplifies the process of administering and collecting data on lecturers nationwide.
  • System Integration: Facilitates the integration of lecturer data into a centralized system, making it more efficient and effective.
  • Access to Services: This number serves as an important form of identification for various administrative and academic services at universities.
