ITS Campus, 10 December 2025 — The Directorate of Human Resources and Organization (SDMO) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held the Farewell and Appreciation Ceremony for Retired Employees and Employees Who Passed Away Before Reaching the Mandatory Retirement Age (BUP) in 2025. The event took place in Peacock Rooms 1 and 2, 7th Floor of Hotel Morazen, Surabaya, and was attended by relevant officials and representatives from the personnel management division.
The ceremony was organized to honor employees for their years of service and dedication, as well as to extend empathy and support to the families of employees who passed away before completing their tenure. The presentation of appreciation packages served as a gesture of institutional recognition for the contributions made by these employees throughout their service.
The event proceeded smoothly and was attended by retirees and the families of the deceased honorees. Through this ceremony, ITS provided a formal platform to acknowledge the conclusion of service for retired employees and to present tokens of appreciation to the families of employees who passed away.
The implementation of the event involved coordination between the Directorate of SDMO—particularly the personnel services division—and attending officials who took part in the presentation procession. This collaboration ensured that the ceremony was conducted in accordance with established procedures.
The event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in supporting well-being (SDG 3), promoting decent work and recognition of human resource contributions (SDG 8), and strengthening inclusive and accountable institutional governance (SDG 16), as reflected in the provision of appreciation to employees and the orderly organization of the ceremony.
