The Directorate of Human Resources and Organization (SDMO) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) successfully held the Basic Training Program (Latsar) for Prospective Permanent Non-Civil Servant Employees, Batch II of 2025. The program took place over four intensive days, from 19 to 22 November 2025, at Asrama Haji Surabaya.
Latsar serves not merely as an administrative requirement but as an essential phase in the pre-service period. This program is designed to develop human resources who possess not only technical competence but also strong moral integrity, honesty, and a high sense of nationalism.

Aligned with the ITS Rector’s Regulation on Human Resources, Latsar is a mandatory requirement for candidates to be appointed as permanent employees. Throughout the program, participants received a series of modules that emphasized national defense values and internalization of ITS core principles.
The curriculum is structured to ensure that each participant is well-prepared to carry out their duties with responsibility and professionalism. Graduates of this program are expected to become frontliners who demonstrate strong character and support the institution’s long-term advancement.

The training dynamics extended beyond classroom learning, incorporating outdoor activities aimed at strengthening character, discipline, and teamwork. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by participants became essential components of the program’s overall success.
With the completion of this training, participants are now encouraged to translate the knowledge and values gained into real contributions within their respective work units. The shift from “learning concepts” to “delivering impact” is expected to reinforce overall performance within ITS.
