The ITS SDG Study Center focuses on helping the government and the community to improve the achievement of the Village SDGs, including 18 Village SDGs goals
The focus of the program developed by the ITS SDGs Study Center are:
- Integrated Village Development that promotes village potential and resolves problems faced by involving all stakeholders
- Technology-based village development that has the greatest impact on the community
- Develop a model of community empowerment in village development
- Developing Knowledge Management in IT Technology-based Villages to build a “Smart Village”
- Develop measurement methods and formulas to evaluate the achievement of the Village SDGs
Focus Area
Our focus area is Eastern Indonesia, as illustrated in the following map. The area was chosen because ITS is a PTNBH that has specific competencies in the marine sector, especially to solve problems in the archipelago.
SDGs Village Model Development
- Inviting stakeholders to develop SDG Villages
- Creating a role model for the SDGs Village, starting with problem identification, Preparing planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, Rearranging planning and so on so that the development cycle runs continuously
- Duplicate to other villages based on the success of the villages that have been developed
