The Business Statistics Department is under the Vocational Faculty, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya. The Department of Business Statistics has a vision to be a mid-level Applied Statistics education program that contributes to the fields of: Industry, Business, Financial Economics and Social-Population. Being a mid-level Applied Statistics education program contributes to the fields of: Industry, Business, Financial and Social Economics Occupation and Health Environment. Business Statistics Students are prepared to be virtuous people, excel in statistics and their application, have a strong and independent personality, have professional skills and professional ethics, have integrity and high responsibility, have the ability to develop themselves and compete at national and international levels and become mid-level human resources in the field of quality statistics, have the potential to develop and are able to contribute to the application of statistics in the fields of: Industry, Business, Financial Economics and Social-Population and Health-Environment.
Based on ITS Curriculum Preparation Guidelines 2018 – 2023 article 9 paragraphs 1 and 2, the curriculum is a reference for minimum quality standards. The implementation of study programs is a set of plans and arrangements regarding the objectives, contents and learning materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for achieving the objectives of the study program. In accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Presidential Regulation No. 8 of 2012 concerning IQF, the Curriculum of the D-III Statistics study program is prepared based on the achievement of graduate learning which refers to the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI), where the achievement of Curriculum Study Program D-III Statistics covers 4 elements namely Attitude , General Skills, Special Skills, and Knowledge Mastery.
Preparation of Learning Outcomes (CP) Statistics D-III Study Program in addition to covering the 4 elements above, also consider the profile of graduates, where the profile of graduates of the D-III Statistics ITS study program include Data Analysis, Quality Control / Quality Assurance, PPIC, Bureaucrats, Analysis Bank / Insurance Credit, Cost Analysis, Entrepreneurs, Marketing.
To achieve the four elements of the IQF, the DIII Statistics Study Program curriculum was made up of 110 credits, of which 59 credits supported the first element of Work Ability consisting of 9 CP, 40 credits supporting the second element, Knowledge Mastery consisting of 7 CP, and 11 credits are ITS content courses. Whereas the third element, Managerial Ability consists of 5 CP, and the fourth element, Attitude and Values consists of 1 CP, has been embeded in each subject, in which 110 credits must be taken within 6 semesters
The curriculum of the D-III Statistics Study Program includes 4 (four) Course Clusters (RMK) namely RMK Formal Statistics, Modeling Statistics, Industrial Statistics, and Business Statistics, where the RMK Formal Statistics consists of 14 credits (6 courses), RMK Statistics Modeling consisting of 27 credits (9 courses) Industrial Statistics RMK consists of 18 credits (6 courses), and the Business Statistics RMK consists of 18 credits (7 courses). For ITS content courses consist of 27 credits (11 courses), while the Job Training and Final Projects are 2 credits and 4 credits respectively.
The curriculum for the Diploma III study program currently used in the Business Statistics Department is a new curriculum that has been enacted starting in the academic year 2018/2019 until the academic year 2022/2023
The Diploma III Study Program has designed the Syllabus in accordance with the composition of courses in each subject group. DIII Department of Business Statistics offers 30 courses, which are collected in four Course Clusters
