Science, materials, and nanotechnology are fields that continue to develop and have the potential for better use in the future. At ITS there are 59 patented science, material and nanotechnology product innovations. ITS research on this concern has gained national and international reputations.
ITS’s Science, Materials, and Nanotechnology Study Center has a vision and mission as a center for the development and application of materials and technology, especially for national natural resources that are qualified to compete at the global level.
The research activities at the center of this study focused on the existing development material in several departments in ITS, therefore, researchers have a broad access to several departments facilities at ITS.
ITS Center for Science, Materials, and Nanotechnology is supported by various equipment and laboratories in several departments in ITS. Therefore, research activities at the ITS Center for Science, Materials, and Nanotechnology was conducted for example in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and several departments in the Vocational Faculty.
Main Topics
The main topic of research activities is active materials in lithium-ion batteries. This material is synthesized from the active ingredients of the cathode, anode, and electrolyte.
Supporting Topics
Other supporting topics that currently going on at the research center is:
Researchers at the Center for Science, Materials, and Nanotechnology come from departments in ITS that have research theme related to science, materials, and nanotechnology.
