ITS builds cooperation with the TNI Research and Development Service (Dislitbang).

Research on the development of innovative products, policies, and technical consultations between ITS researchers in various fields has been widely carried out in recent years. The existence of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) no. 11/X/NK/2023 or NK/22/X/TNI concerning synergy in the fields of education, culture, science, and technology is a large umbrella that is the basis for ITS to build more intensive research cooperation. This memorandum of understanding was signed on Friday, October twenty-seven, two thousand and twenty-three, in Jakarta. This memorandum was agreed upon by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim, and the TNI Commander, Admiral TNI Yudo Margono, SE, MM. To follow up on these various collaborations, the ITS Research and Community Service Directorate’s (DRPM) Internet of Things and Defense Technology (IoTTP) Research Center team visited the three-dimensional TNI Dislitbang.

Research collaboration with the Dislitbang TNI AD 
On Friday, July 12, 2024, Dr. Eng. Dhany Arifianto and Dr. Widyastuti from the ITS DRPM IoTTP Research Center visited the TNI AD Research and Development Service (Dislitbang TNI AD). These representatives were received by the Head of the Service, Brigadier General TNI Hery Setiyono, S.Sos., M.M. At this meeting, an overview of the history, duties and functions, structure, and innovation products produced by the TNI AD Dislitbang was presented. Several examples of R&D products, such as rifle perimeter management systems, GEM-based anti-drones, and weapon-locating radars, were also explained.

Furthermore, the presentation was delivered by the Head of the IoTTP Research Center, Dr. Eng Dhany Arifianto, about the organizational structure at ITS related to cooperation, innovation, and alumni. Several innovative products under DRPM and researchers under the IoTTP research center, such as Anomaly-based NIDS (ANIDS) products and Drone Timeline Forensic Timeline Analysis for secure drone command and control for cyber security applications, Various unmanned vehicles, such as the i-Boat, i-Car, and i-Bus, are used for transportation. Various health technology products, such as Smart e-Health for Brain Disorder diagnosis based on MRI Image, i-Chol, i-Gluco, i-Heart, and others, This event was continued with a discussion and joint commitment for further research between the Indonesian Army Research and Development Agency and ITS.

ITS Follows Up on Research Collaboration with the Indonesian Navy Research and Development Agency
The last days of March, which also fall within the month of Ramadan, did not dampen the enthusiasm of the ITS team to follow up on research collaborations. Thursday, March 28, 2024. Head of the Internet of Things and Defense Technology (IoTTP) Research Center DRPM ITS, Dr. Eng Dhany Arifianto, and Deputy Head of Research Center, Dr. Widyastuti, visited the Indonesian Navy Research and Development Office at JL RS Fatmawati No. 1 Pondok Labu, South Jakarta. This activity aims to open a follow-up to the cooperation between ITS and the Indonesian Navy Research and Development Office. The ITS team was met by the Secretary of the Research and Development Office, Marine Colonel (E) Sigit Winarko, ST. CHRMP, and the Head of the General Staff Office, Lieutenant Colonel Mar Suwanto, S.Pd.


At the meeting, various collaborations in the last few years that have been carried out between ITS and various laboratories under the Research and Development Office, such as Labinlek, Labinkimat, Labinbair, and Labinsen, were conveyed. ITS works a lot in the field of underwater acoustics with Labinlek or the development of munitions and explosives with Labinsen. For further research and development plans, it is hoped that they can be covered by an MoU between ITS and the Indonesian Navy Headquarters so that cooperation can take place more intensively.

Exploration of Research Collaboration between ITS and the Indonesian Air Force Research and Development Agency
Thursday, March 28, 2024. Head of the Research Center for Internet of Things and P(IoTTP) Technology, DRPM ITS, Dr. Eng Dhany Arifianto, and Deputy Head of Research and Development Center, Dr. Widyastuti, conducted a working visit to the Indonesian Air Force Research and Development Agency in Bandung in order to open cooperation with ITS. The ITS team was met by the head of the Indonesian Air Force Research and Development Agency and other teams. This meeting also followed up on the previous visit on August 24, 2023, which was received by the Head of the Research and Development Agency, First Marshal Wahyu Hidayat Sudjatmiko. At that time, the ITS team also saw research facilities in several labs at the Indonesian Air Force Research and Development Agency and held discussions. The Cooperation Mechanism is followed up with a legal umbrella between ITS and the Indonesian Air Force or between ITS and the TNI Commander, which can cover land, sea, and air dimensions.
