Surabaya<\/strong> \u2013 The ITS Library hosted a study visit from 25 students participating in the School Literacy Movement (GLS) extracurricular program at SMAN 4 Madiun on Thursday (July 2, 2026). The purpose of the visit was to broaden the students\u2019 knowledge and gain experience regarding library management and the implementation of literacy programs.<\/p>\n

The event began with a welcome and opening ceremony in the Library Room on the second floor, led by the Head of the ITS Library, Agus Santoso, S.Sos., M.Med.Kom, who is often called Agsan. During the event, Agsan also presented information about the ITS Library\u2019s facilities and services and engaged the participants in a discussion about literacy.<\/p>\n

Next, the students took a library tour, visiting the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, and ending at the Migas Corner on the 1st floor. During the visit, the participants seemed enthusiastic about exploring the library\u2019s various facilities. One of the areas that drew the most attention was the \u201cAussie Banget Corner\u201d on the 3rd floor. At the Migas Corner, the students were also eager to capture the moment using various props, such as safety helmets.<\/p>\n

The participants also shared their positive impressions. One student said, \u201cEarlier, I got to see the library, check out the different rooms, visit the Oil and Gas Museum, and then watch a horror movie. It was so much fun!\u201d Another student also said that the visit was very enjoyable and a great learning experience.<\/p>\n

Through this study tour, it is hoped that participants will gain inspiration to foster a culture of literacy in their schools and utilize the library as a space for learning, collaboration, and innovation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
