Surabaya – Pada Kamis, 22 Januari 2026, sebanyak 40 peserta Community and Technological Camp (CommTECH) 2026 melakukan kunjungan ke Perpustakaan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Perpustakaan adalah tempat pertama yang dikunjungi dari rangkaian agenda Visit to ITS Research & Innovation Gallery<\/em> setelah sebelumnya para peserta mengikuti kegiatan pembukaan di Gedung Rektorat ITS.<\/p>\n

Setibanya di lokasi, para peserta CommTECH 2026 yang berasal dari berbagai negara, seperti Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Jepang, Filipina, dan lainnya, serta beberapa orang dari Direktorat Kemitraan Global (DKG) disambut oleh dua orang staf Perpustakaan ITS.<\/p>\n

Dalam rangkaian library tour<\/em>, para peserta dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok pertama memulai kunjungan dari lantai 1 hingga lantai 5, sementara kelompok kedua menjelajahi perpustakaan dari lantai 5 hingga lantai 1. Masing-masing kelompok didampingi oleh tiga orang staf perpustakaan yang memberikan penjelasan mengenai fasilitas, layanan, serta koleksi yang dimiliki Perpustakaan ITS. Para peserta tampak antusias mengikuti kegiatan ini, bahkan beberapa peserta dari Malaysia hadir mengenakan pakaian adat negaranya.<\/p>\n

Antusiasme peserta semakin terlihat saat mengunjungi ruang multimedia, khususnya di area mini teater. Peserta asal Thailand tampak sangat bersemangat ketika melihat poster film dari negaranya yang terpajang di depan ruang mini teater. Pada kesempatan tersebut, film Jumbo, animasi asal Indonesia yang tengah viral beberapa waktu lalu, diputar untuk memberikan pengalaman menonton di mini teater Perpustakaan ITS. Sementara itu, saat sesi pengenalan ruang referensi, salah satu peserta asal Vietnam tampak tertarik dengan keberadaan Cafe Hotspot yang berada di lantai yang sama, hingga menyempatkan diri bertanya lebih lanjut kepada pendamping dari DKG.<\/p>\n

Salah satu peserta CommTECH 2026, Najmi dari Universiti Putra Malaysia, mengungkapkan ketertarikannya terhadap fasilitas yang dimiliki Perpustakaan ITS. \u201cPerpustakaan ITS bagi saya menarik, terutama di atas ada mini teater and <\/em>Migas Corner. So I think it\u2019s interesting for us to visit this library<\/em>,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Hal serupa juga disampaikan oleh Shauki dari Universiti Tenaga Nasional. Ia mengaku terkesan dengan luas dan kelengkapan fasilitas yang tersedia. \u201cFor me I think ITS library is quite big. It\u2019s quite a surprise there\u2019s a lot of corners, cafes, that can accommodate student\u2019s need. And I think it\u2019s one of the best place for students to study<\/em>.\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n

Suasana kunjungan semakin hidup ketika staf perpustakaan memperkenalkan koleksi buku tugas akhir mahasiswa ITS dengan ketebalan lebih dari 1.000 halaman. Momen tersebut menarik perhatian peserta yang kemudian mengabadikannya melalui foto dan video.<\/p>\n

Kunjungan ke Perpustakaan ITS diakhiri dengan suasana santai, di mana para peserta CommTECH 2026 menikmati kopi di Cafe Kopi Pahing Perpustakaan ITS sambil menunggu hujan reda. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan kunjungan ini berjalan dengan lancar dan meninggalkan kesan positif bagi para peserta internasional.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
