The Mini Museum, located on the 4th floor of the Multimedia Services<\/a><\/em> area, has become an attractive spot, especially for international Library Tour participants. It features a collection of historical devices that illustrate the evolution of library technology.<\/p>\n

\"Museum<\/a><\/p>\n

Quoting the words of Indonesia’s first President, Ir. Soekarno, “Jas Merah – never forget history,” this Mini Museum serves as a reminder of the long journey of technological transformation at the ITS Library.<\/p>\n

Established in November 2022, the Mini Museum showcases a collection of historical devices that were once used to support library operations, such as Microfilm, Microfiche, Microfilm Reader, Microfiche Reader, classic mobile phones, video\/audio cassettes, video\/audio cassette players, typewriters, dot matrix printers, cameras, floppy disks, and more.<\/p>\n

This museum not only presents antique objects but also illustrates the technological transformations that have advanced the information systems at the ITS Library. Each collection piece bears silent witness to the evolution of information technology that once supported library services before the fully digital era.<\/p>\n

\"Museum<\/a><\/p>\n

According to Sabrina, a 2024 ITS Product Design student, the Mini Museum has a high aesthetic value. “Its design is very eye-catching and takes us on a nostalgic journey to the past. The collection is also very iconic,” she said during her visit to the museum.<\/p>\n

For those of you who wish to visit this Mini Museum, don’t forget to take the time to view this historical collection when you’re at the ITS Library. Together, let us remember and appreciate the long journey toward a more modern and advanced future.<\/p>\n
