IEEE Refresher Training Discusses Research Publications and the APC Program for the Academic Community

Surabaya – The ITS Library, in collaboration with IEEE, held an IEEE Refreshment Training – APC Program Information Session on Thursday (September 3, 2026). The event, themed “Publishing Leading Technical Research with IEEE: An Overview for Engineers & the APC Program,” was conducted in a hybrid format, with participants attending in person at CCWS, Level 1, of the ITS Library, as well as online via Zoom.

The event featured Prof. Daniel Oranoviah Siahaan, S.Kom., M.Sc., P.D.Eng., from the Department of Computer Engineering at FTEK ITS, and Alex Liu Yupeng, Manager of Global Services, Asia, at IEEE, as guest speakers. Meanwhile, Wiwi Wiyanti served as the moderator for the event.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, peserta memperoleh wawasan mengenai publikasi technical research bersama IEEE, termasuk IEEE APC Program, serta informasi terkait IEEE & AI Research Insights. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung sivitas akademika ITS dalam meningkatkan kualitas dan peluang publikasi hasil penelitian.

During the event, participants gained insights into publishing technical research with the IEEE, including the IEEE APC Program, as well as information related to IEEE & AI Research Insights. This event is expected to support the ITS academic community in improving the quality of their research and increasing their opportunities for publication.

In addition to receiving materials and insights related to publishing, participants also received an e-certificate, free snacks, and the chance to win door prizes. The event concluded with a group photo session attended by the speakers, moderator, and participants—both in person and online.
