Ir. Putu Rudy Setiawan, M.Sc. deliver learning material.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) collaborated to organize BRILiaN Village In-depth Training in 2024 with the theme Village Spatial Planning. This program is a continuation of the initiative to empower alumni participating in BRILiaN Village 2020-2023. BRILiaN Village is a village empowerment program in the form of deepening soft-competency and hard-competency training materials. The aim of this program is to make BRI-assisted villages role models for the development of other villages in Indonesia. The “BRILiaN Village” program has been participated in by 3,178 villages who have been actively moved to take the initiative and commit to progress through the “BRILiaN Village” program.<\/p>\n

Village Spatial Planning Training was held online on Monday 7 October 2024. This training was attended by 200 village representatives from all over Indonesia. There are those from Surabaya, Malang, DKI Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Lampang, Medan, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Denpasar, Jayapura, Jogjakarta, Padang, Manado and Palembang. The first resource person was Ir. Putu Rudy Setiawan, M.Sc. ITS spatial planning expert. Putu Rudy delivered material regarding rural planning. This material contains an introduction to village planning, village planning products, village planning techniques and the preparation of village planning products. The principles of village planning are participatory, holistic and comprehensive, sustainable, integrated, fair, balanced, transparent and accountable. From these principles, village planning priorities are created which include developing the potential of the village area, solving village area problems and strengthening local wisdom.<\/p>\n

The second resource person is Dr. Hertiari Idajati, ST., M.Sc. ITS tourism and environmental planning expert. Ida explained a case study of preparing the master plan for Sumberwaru Village in Gresik Regency, East Java Province. The preparation of a village master plan begins with the preparation of a village profile. This activity was carried out by observing village conditions, interviews with stakeholders and participatory mapping. Then data analysis was carried out. The data analyzed comes from regional hierarchy, land use, projected infrastructure needs, facility affordability, human resource capacity, village institutions, Village APBDes, trade system, carrying capacity and technology needs as well as analysis of tourism development. All data was analyzed comprehensively using the SWOT analysis method. The results of the SWOT analysis were discussed with the village government and residents through an FGD forum. The results of this FGD become a reference for village development program plans. This village development program will be measured and monitored through achievement indicators. So that targets, achievements and impacts can be measured.<\/p>\n

This village spatial planning activity is in line with the community service road map of the Center for Regional Potential Studies and Community Empowerment (PDPM) Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, namely sustainable regional development, poverty alleviation and development of MSMEs. This activity is also in accordance with the sustainable development goals (SDG’s), namely goal number (1) eradicating poverty, goal number (5) gender equality, goal number (8) decent work and economic growth, and goal number ( 17) partnership in achieving goals.
