On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, the ITS PDPM was invited by the Tulungagung Regency Communication and Information Office to attend a FGD in order to provide a Preliminary Report on the Preparation of the Tulungagung Regency Community Development Index (IPMas) in 2021. The FGD was attended by the ITS PDPM team, Dr. Sutikno, M.Si, Dr. Soedarso, M.Hum and Imam Safawi Ahmad, M.Si, Tulungagung District Communication and Information Office, attended by Sumarji Kuswantoro, S.Pd, MM. as Secretary of the Department of Communication and Informatics, as well as 45 OPD / related agencies in Tulungagung Regency.

Dr. Sutikno, M.Si as the Head of PDPM ITS and also the head of the drafting team said that IPMas in Tulungagung Regency has increased from an index value of 0.67 in 2019 to 0.71 in 2020. Efforts to calculate IPMas in Tulungagung Regency continue to need to be carried out periodically as development evaluation and future development planning.

The compilation of IPMas is the result of calculations from the data obtained after a number of surveys have been conducted. Imam Safawi Ahmad, M.Si as an expert on PDPM ITS and members of the drafting team stated that the survey was carried out by conducting direct interviews using questionnaires, while the sampling was 700 respondents using the multistage random sampling method throughout the Tulungagung area spread over 19 districts. FGD participants were quite active as seen from the many responses and questions after the material was delivered by the drafting team from PDPM ITS. The success of the IPMas preparation is also largely determined by the cooperation and support of all relevant OPDs in the ranks of the regional government of Tulungagung Regency. The preparation of IPMas includes indicators of gotong royong to determine the level of social cohesion, indicators of tolerance related to social inclusion, and indicators of a sense of security to monitor the basis for community capacity development. The preparation of IPMas for Tulungagung Regency is planned to be completed in December 2021.
