This condition which gave birth to the government vision to make Indonesia as the world maritime axis. In order to realize this vision, the Government is developing a working program for the development of maritime culture, maritime resource management, infrastructure development, and maritime connectivity, diplomacy, and maritime security defense. The success of this government-working program requires human resources in maritime, especially in the field of shipping systems engineering. Therefore, expert research experts are needed to make the Indonesian vision especially in the field of shipping system engineering.<\/p>\n With the background, the Department of Marine Engineering organizes doctoral courses in the engineering system of Marine Engineering, as one of the only doctoral courses in Indonesia that organizes the education in the field of marine engineering. Doctoral course in marine engineering has the main competencies in the field of research engineering and engineering systems \u2013 systems located on water buildings (floating structures)\/offshore (offshores), ranging from machining systems, propulsion, electricity, piping, navigation, reliability, risk management of oil and gas operating systems, and the safety of systems that support the design.<\/p>\n With the competence offered by the doctoral program Marine Engineering, the need for research experts in the field of shipping system engineering to support institutions, colleges, and research agencies, especially in the provision of doctoral graduates.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n RESEARCH<\/strong><\/p>\n The Department of Marine Engineering has a strong position in several marine engineering fields.
