Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering included in the Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI) opens a post-graduate study program of Electrical Engineering starting from the 1993/1994. From the 1993/1994 to the 2004/2005, 266 students had graduated from 1065 students. Starting in the 2005/2006 academic year, the doctoral program has been opened.

Since 2005, PPS-TE has been one of the main components in inter-laboratory collaboration between ITS and a number of universities in Japan within the framework of the PREDICT project funded by the Japanese government. Starting in the 2004/2005 academic year, participants in the master program have an opportunity to take part in a sandwich program between ITS and FH Darmstadt-University of Applied Sciences (Germany). Other collaborations that have been established include Oulu University (Finland) through the FIND project, PT PLN in the Management of Electric Power Distribution Systems, PPT Migas Cepu in the Power Systems Engineering field, and PPED VEDC in the Mechatronics field. Since 2005 PPS-TE has also accepted students from foreign countries.

Supported by 52 lecturers with qualifications: 6 professors, 17 doctors, and 29 masters. Supporting facilities available are: Lecture Room, 15 Laboratories, Computing Room, 2 Seminar Rooms, Reading Room with more than 6000 library materials, 18 international scientific journals, seminar forums, internet connections and other facilities.
