Chemical Engineering

The Department of Chemical Engineering has opened a Postgraduate Program in Chemical Engineering starting in the academic year of 1993/1994. Starting in the academic year of 2001/2002 the Chemical Engineering Doctoral Program was officially opened.

 

This program is supported by 30 lecturers with qualifications: four professors, 15 doctors, and 11 masters. The supporting facilities available are as follows: Lecture Room, 15 Laboratories, Reading Room with more than 6000 library materials, 18 international scientific journals, free internet connection, and other facilities.

 

Goals

 

The Department of Chemical Engineering Masters Program aims to produce graduates who have strong theoretical and application skills in the field of Chemical Engineering, especially to improve research and design skills, so that they can play an optimal role in carrying out their duties.

 

Field of Interest

 

The Chemical Engineering Study Program has areas of expertise that students can choose according to their talents and abilities.

 

  1. Process Technology. This course covers such as Phenomenon Transport, Advanced Chemical Reaction Techniques, Heat Exchanger Networks, Thermal System Analysis, Process Optimization, Catalysts, Coal Utilization Technology, and other courses.

 

 

Academic Activities

 

The Master Program in Chemical Engineering takes place in 4 semesters (2 years). The maximum time limit for the study period is four years. Total credit load of 40 credits, consisting of 31 credits of compulsory and elective courses and nine credits of theses following the curriculum. The first semester starts in early September, while the second semester starts in early February and ends in June.

 

The load of study in the Chemical Engineering Doctoral Program is 40 credits (6 semesters) for Master Program level courses and 52 credits (7 semesters) for non-S2 levels. The implementation of the study load following the curriculum.
