ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014<\/b> In response to the challenges of technological developments in the logistics sector, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> presents the Applied Logistics Analytics (Applied Bachelor) Study Program under the Department of Business Statistics<\/a>, ITS Vocational Faculty. Unlike the general Logistics Study Programs, the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program uses a data and technological analysis approach in running logistics systems and management.<\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Lecturer of the ITS Business Statistics Department<\/a>, Iis Dewi Ratih SSi MSi, explained that data analysis plays an important role in running the supply chain and distribution process in today’s digital era. This is because, due to the rapid development of technology, the data generated from the logistics process is getting bigger. “Therefore, the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program is here to produce experts who are able to integrate statistics and logistics knowledge into industrial practices,” she explained.<\/p>\n

Regarding this, Iis explained that students of the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program will be equipped with various competencies in the field of data analysis and logistics management. Among them are data analysis and processing methods, programming, aspects and supply chain management, and marketing and logistics business. “These competencies will be developed by students through a practical approach,” she added.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the ITS Statistics<\/a> undergraduate alumnus explained that student competencies will be honed through the curriculum and courses that have been prepared. Students will study courses such as Basic Mathematics and Science, Data Computing, Analytics Engineering, Logistics Systems, and Logistics Business and Management.<\/p>\n

Iis added, with these provisions, graduates of the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program will have a major role in increasing the operational efficiency of the industry. Among them are streamlining the production process, optimizing the supply chain, managing inventory, efficiency of transportation and distribution systems, and reducing operational costs.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the study program included in the ITS Vocational Faculty offers bright job prospects for its graduates. The distribution and logistics, manufacturing, retail and e-commerce, and finance and government sectors are ready to await graduates in their future career. “Graduates are expected to be able to use data analysis for decision making in the logistics sector,” said the ITS Statistics Masters alumnus.<\/p>\n

Iis revealed that the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program will start accepting new students in the 2025\/2026 academic year. Through all national and regular entry routes, this new ITS study program will provide a quota of 40 seats. “For prospective students, the supporting subjects for the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program are mathematics,” said Iis.<\/p>\n

The presence of the ITS Applied Logistics Analytics Study Program is expected to support the creation of a better life through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The points supported are SDGs No. 4 on Quality Education, SDGs No. 8 on Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
