ITS Campus, ITS News \u2013<\/strong> There was something interesting at the 2025 Leadership School event held by\u00a0Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a>, Tuesday (7\/1). The first day of the activity aimed at new ITS officials was directly attended by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktisaintek) Prof. Dr. Khairul Munadi ST MEng who was just inaugurated the day before.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The presence of the Director General of Higher Education, Science, and Technology at the event held offline at the Auditorium of the ITS Research Center Building as the main speaker or\u00a0<\/span>keynote speaker.<\/span><\/em>\u00a0This was his first event after being inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Satryo Soemantri Brodjonegoro, Monday (6\/1). Participants in the event which lasted for two days, until Wednesday (8\/1), were ITS officials who were also just inaugurated on January 2, 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

The school which is a routine activity for new officials is an effort to improve the leadership competency of leaders in the ITS environment. Because the competence of leaders in the world of education has a great influence on the quality of education and the development of Human Resources (HR) in society.<\/p>\n

In his presentation as\u00a0<\/span>a keynote speaker , the ITS Electrical Engineering<\/a> alumnus conveyed eight priority government programs for the sustainability of education in Indonesia. The interests of developing technology and education related to human resources are carried out in order to welcome Indonesia Emas 2045<\/em> and realize <\/span>Sustainable Development Goals\u00a0(SDGs) 4, namely Quality Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, Khairul explained that higher education has great potential as a driver that supports the resolution of development problems. Priority targets for higher education include access to quality education, development of science and technology talents, and strengthening scientific culture. “Education, research, and technology that are interrelated are important to achieve a knowledge-based society for sustainable development,” he reminded.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ITS Rector Prof Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD continued that what had been conveyed by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktisaintek) was in line with ITS vision to become a world-class university that contributes to the nation’s independence. He also added that ITS has a vision of ITS Emas<\/em>, which includes four main values, namely excellence, global, trustworthy, and contribution.<\/p>\n

The ITS Mechanical Engineering<\/a><\/span>\u00a0professor\u00a0added that the current development phase of ITS focuses on research and innovation to become an Entrepreneurial University. Bambang also explained the plan or target of ITS 2030. “The target is in the form of size, finance, publication, human resources, internationalization and infrastructure,” he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bambang hopes that ITS leaders can understand the importance of having aligned goals, so that every step taken by various parties can provide real impact and significant results. “We must move together to bring ITS as an Entrepreneurial University in 2030,” said Bambang optimistically. Not only the ITS Rector, but the ITS Vice Rectors also provided direction according to their respective fields to the participants of this leadership school.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktisaintek) as the main speaker, the leadership school also presented several other competent speakers. Namely the Director of SDMO (Human and Organizational Resources) ITS Dr Eng Trika Pitana ST MSc, Chairman of the ITS Board of Trustees Prof Dr Ir Mohammad Nuh DEA, and Chairman of the ITS Academic Senate Prof Dr Syafsir Akhlus MSc. (ITS Public Relations)<\/p>\n
