Menawarkan solusi inovatif, tim Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pengabdian Masyarakat (KKN Abmas) Tematik <a href=\"http:\/\/its.ac.id\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> menggagas mesin pencacah pakan ternak berbasis energi terbarukan dari listrik panel surya.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ketua tim KKN Abmas Tematik ITS Dr Suyatno SSi MSi menjelaskan bahwa persediaan pakan ternak, khususnya sapi dan kambing, akan semakin menipis ketika memasuki musim kemarau. Alat tersebut diharapkan dapat berkontribusi untuk membantu mengawetkan hasil produksi pakan ternak saat musim hujan untuk digunakan saat musim kemarau. \u201cMesin ini menggantikan proses pencacahan secara manual, sehingga prosesnya menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien,\u201d ucapnya.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Suyatno menambahkan bahwa mesin pencacah telah dimodifikasi agar sumber energinya tidak hanya berasal dari mesin diesel, tetapi juga panel surya. Langkah substitusi sumber energi dengan dinamo listrik baru tersebut dapat mengatasi permasalahan keterbatasan biaya untuk pasokan listrik dan keterbatasan akses bahan bakar di pegunungan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lebih lanjut, terang Suyatno, mesin ini turut dilengkapi dengan baterai yang dapat menampung daya hingga mencapai 2400 watt-hour. Sehingga, dinamo listrik sebesar 671 watt dapat menggerakkan mesin tanpa henti selama tiga setengah jam sebelum baterai habis. Khususnya yakni poin tujuh terkait penggunaan energi yang bersih dan terjangkau. Selain itu, poin satu SDGs terkait upaya penuntasan kemiskinan turut direalisasikan lewat inovasi yang meningkatkan produktivitas para peternak lokal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sebagai salah satu bentuk penerapan, tim beranggotakan tujuh dosen dan sepuluh mahasiswa ini bekerja sama dengan masyarakat Dusun Winong, Desa Jatisawit, Karanganyar dalam bentuk penghibahan.
